If you are unable to download the SP app to enable seamless charging and payment, fret not. You can now use the guest checkout feature to charge your EV. To do that, simply:

Plug in the connector and click the “Guest Checkout” tab at the bottom of the SP Mobility homepage (www.spmobility.sg)

You will be directed to the guest checkout webpage to scan the connector QR code or input the connector ID

Key in your email address (optional) if you wish to receive charging session updates, idle fee alerts and transaction details via email. If you do not provide us with your email address, do keep the guest checkout webpage open to monitor the charging progress

Start charging
If you accidentally close the guest checkout webpage while charging, you will still be able to access it from the SP Mobility homepage (www.spmobility.sg) by re-scanning the QR code on the charger, or from the webpage link sent via email at the start of the charging session (if you have provided us with your email address).
Important notes:

Temporary hold amount: There will be a temporary hold amount of $70 on your credit/debit card for every session which will be released to your account after 5 – 10 business days

Minimum transaction fee: There will be a minimum transaction fee of $0.50 per charging session

Idle fees: If applicable to your EV charging point, the idle fee rate will be displayed on the guest checkout webpage before you start your charging session. If you have provided us with your email address, you’ll be notified via email prior to the commencement of idle fee charges

Payment details: At the end of your charging session, you can view the transaction details and charge amount on the guest checkout webpage as well as via email (if you have provided us with your email address)

No rewards: Guest checkout users will not enjoy any perks that SP Mobility may offer to users from time to time, nor earn reward points on ChargeUP, our loyalty rewards programme. To enjoy these benefits, simply download the SP app for a more seamless and rewarding charging experience

- What is guest checkout?
Guest checkout allows the users to charge their EV at SP charging points without having to create a user account in the SP app.
- Can I use guest checkout at all SP Mobility charging points?
Starting from 23 April 2025, guest checkout will be made available at all publicly accessible charging points owned by SP Mobility (excluding charging points in condominiums).
- Why is there an initial hold amount and a minimum charge?
The initial hold of $70 on your credit/debit card is to ensure that your credit/debit card is valid and has sufficient funds before you start charging. This amount is held by your credit/debit card issuing bank and prevents any inconvenience with failed payments later. This amount will be released to your account after 5 – 10 business days.
- Why is there a minimum transaction fee?
A minimum transaction fee of $0.50 will be applied for all successful charging sessions if the total cost of the session is below $0.50. The minimum transaction fee will not apply if the total cost of the session is $0.50 and above.
- What is idle fee?
Idle fee is implemented with the aim to deter hogging and reduce waiting times for EV drivers. For more information on idle fee, pls click here.
- What is ChargeUP?
ChargeUP is SP Mobility’s EV charging rewards programme. Users who charge using the SP app will earn reward points that can be accumulated to offset their next charging session. Read more at EV Charging Rewards.
- Why can’t I earn ChargeUP reward points if I use guest checkout?
ChargeUP is a rewards programme within the SP app. Only charging sessions via the SP app are eligible to earn reward points. As guest checkout users do not have a user account in the app, they are unable to earn and redeem reward points.
- What if I encounter an issue while using the guest checkout to charge my EV?
