ChargEco is now part of SP Mobility

ChargEco has joined the SP Mobility family, and that means a more consistent charging experience and unified service support for EV drivers across Singapore. With this acquisition, more than 1,000 public EV charging points will be progressively integrated into SP Mobility’s network. SP Mobility now operates Singapore’s largest EV charging network and the nation’s largest fast-charging network.

For now, there will be no changes to your current charging experience. ChargEco charging points will continue operating as usual during the transition. Drivers can continue using the respective ChargEco and SP Mobility apps with no changes to their current charging journey. SP Mobility will also now fully manage customer support to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for users. 

Together, we are strengthening Singapore’s EV charging ecosystem and supporting the growing community of EV drivers with greater accessibility, reliability and convenience. We look forward to bringing even more enhancements to EV drivers in the months ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions 

1. Can I still use the ChargEco app?  

Yes. ChargEco users can continue using the existing ChargEco app when charging on the ChargEco network, with no changes to their current charging journey.   

2. Can customers charge at SP Mobility charging points on the ChargEco app and vice versa?  

In this interim stage, no. We’re working to integrate both networks so you can access all charging points from either app. For now, please use the respective app for each network.  

3. Will ChargEco operate under its existing brand name, or will it be rebranded under SP Group?  

All ChargeEco charging points will continue operating as usual through the transition, including operating under its existing brand name. ChargEco users can continue using the existing app, with no changes to their current charging journey. Any changes to charger operations will be clearly communicated to users.  

4. Will I be able to earn and redeem SP Mobility’s ChargeUP reward points when charging at ChargEco chargers?  

For now, ChargeUP reward points can only be earned and redeemed when charging via the SP app. As ChargEco chargers are progressively added to the SP app, eligible users will be able to earn and redeem points when using those chargers through the app. 

5. Can ChargEco’s customers now access JOM Charge Chargers on the ChargEco app when travelling to Malaysia?  

No. Cross border roaming with the SP App and access to JOM Charge Chargers are only available on the SP App. Interested customers can download the SP App for easy access. SP Mobility continues to support a seamless and convenient EV charging experience. 

6. If I have fleet discounts with both SP Mobility and ChargEco, will both discounts still apply? 

Yes. Existing fleet discounts with SP Mobility and ChargEco will continue to apply at their respective discount rates, and on the respective platforms, during the transition.
